Interapptive Insurance - Claims

Interapptive Insurance claims are handled by U-PIC Insurance Services. Claims forms are generated from your online Interapptive account and are printed and faxed to U-PIC. Clear instructions are provided on each form.

Claims are paid within 7 working days of receiving the claim.

General Claim Instructions

All Interapptive Insurance claims are handled by U-PIC Insurance Services (U-PIC). If you have any claims questions please contact U-PIC directly at Claims@U-PIC.com or call 800-955-4623. Claims may be faxed to U-PIC at 818-971-3325 or mailed to U-PIC Insurance Services, 28001 Dorothy Dr, 2nd Floor, Agoura Hills, CA 91301-2609.

If the claim is for damage, please hold on to the item until the claim has reached a resolution.

USPS Lost or Damaged Claim Instructions
  1. Complete a U-PIC claim form and submit within 90 days of the ship date.
    You must wait 21 days for lost domestic shipments and 45 days for lost international shipments before filing a claim. For shipments to Italy, you must wait 60 days from the ship date before filing a claim. If the claim is for damage, you can file immediately.
  2. Copy of original invoice/receipt. If claim is for damage, supply a repair estimate and any salvage value if not repairable.
    A copy of the original invoice to the consignee or eBay end of auction as proof of value.
  3. Signed and dated statement from your Consignee (Buyer).
    If for a loss, the statement will not be valid if dated prior to the required wait period for a domestic/international shipment. You may obtain a copy of the buyer affidavit on our website here.
Standard Carrier Claim Instructions (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL)
  1. You must file with the carrier (UPS, FedEx, etc) for the initial deductible (first $100.00 of value).
  2. Once carrier check is received, complete and submit a U-PIC claim form within 60 days of carrier payment.
  3. Supply a copy of the original invoice/receipt. If claim is for damage, supply a copy of a repair estimate and any salvage value if not repairable.
  4. Supply a copy of the carrier’s settlement check & any forms received/filed with carrier along with the tracking number for that shipment.
